Delete your Umego account

Umego lets you permanently request deletion of your account and associated personal data. The fastest method is inside the app. If you cannot sign in, you can request deletion by email.

If you cannot access the app

Email [email protected] from the email address connected to your Umego account. Use the subject Umego account deletion request and include your username if you know it. We may ask for limited information to confirm that the account belongs to you. Do not email your password or identity document.

What deletion covers

Deletion removes the account from active use and initiates deletion of associated profile information and content controlled by that account. Content already shared with another person may remain in that person’s conversation or copies where the law and product context permit.

Limited records may be retained for a restricted period when reasonably necessary for backups, fraud prevention, safety investigations, dispute resolution or legal obligations. Retained records are not used to keep the deleted account active.

Before you delete

Account deletion is intended to be permanent.

If you only want to stop appearing in Nearby, use Ghost Mode or stop sharing location instead. If you only want to leave Nikah, use the Nikah visibility controls rather than deleting your entire Umego account.
